The Sim

Luna Class Patch
Welcome to the USS Komorkis and thank you for taking the time to visit our simulation. I know personally, there are plenty of simulations out there, many with wonderful themes and offerings. That said I like to think that we are different from the rest. The Komorkis is more than just a sim, we are a community, home to a diverse group of writers and friends and we are built on the values of Star Trek itself.

I'll be the first to tell you that growing up DS9 was my favorite series in the Star Trek universe with all of its moral grays and long drawn out stories and action towards the end of the series. But when you consider Star Trek and what it really was about, even in DS9 the focus was ultimately about discovery. Whether that discovery was new life, new civilizations, new technology, or even discovering the better parts of humanity within us. They were always seeking answers for the great unknown and they were never afraid to let their preconceived notions be challenged or to face questions that might challenge their morals or ethics. And here aboard the Komorkis, we strive to replicate that exact experience for our players with each mission that we undertake.

More importantly, we want to see the characters and their writers grow. The command team is here to always present the mission outline and set things into motion as we go along but it is our players who weave the actual story and put everything together. We also encourage and welcome players to come to us with storylines for their characters and subplots as well within our own missions.

Luna Class Patch
On a final note, we subscribe to the belief that all are welcome here. As the Vulcan philosophy goes there is infinite diversity in infinite combinations. We are accepting and welcoming of all players from all backgrounds because that too is the heart of Star Trek. We have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination of any kind, plain, and simple.

I hope that I was able to give you a picture of what the Komorkis is like and why we are different. There are plenty of choices out there these days when it comes to joining a sim, and if you're reading this I hope you will consider joining us. Just know that my door is always open whether you have a suggestion about the sim itself, our current mission, or if you just need to talk. This game is about you after all and I'm here for all of my players.

If you have questions in the meantime feel free to drop by our wiki, otherwise feel free to join us.
